Designing Faqs

How do I know what my design will look like?

Preview will give you the sneak peak into the design that you'll receive when you order from DFW. Always check the preview carefully before ordering. This is the best way to ensure the scale, layout and design of your fabric.

How to review the preview:

  • The gray rulers on the top and left of the design show the length and width of the printed design.

  • The width and length shown changes depending on the fabric size selected for purchase (i.e. swatch or yardage length).

  • The white space indicates unprinted area. Image will be printed exactly where and how it appears in the preview.

  • If you see white lines within the repeat of a design it indicated repeat issues. Check the design created by zooming in for borders or white lines along the edges.

  • Always preview your submission, the way the image appears here is how it will be printed on fabric.

Why does the preview look blurry?

Rectangular files or files large print set up files often preview in our low-res preview window looking blurry even when the original sources files are clear and bright. DFW only prints from the file that you uploaded, not the low-res preview of your file. If your file looks crisp and clean before upload then, it should print well with us.
